SEO Web Design in London
Websites planned to be found, not just to look good
Most websites are designed first and “SEO’d” later. Usually a few months after launch, when someone notices the phone isn't ringing. We work the other way round.
Before we draw a single page, we look at what your customers type into Google, which pages your competitors rank with, and what a visitor needs to see before they get in touch. The design follows from that.

What “SEO-first” means in practice
It's how we built One Spa London's website from a blank page. Monthly visits grew from 447 in December 2023 to 3,969 in January 2026, and the spa now leads Google Maps for searches like “couples massage” and “london spa”.
-
One page per service
A single crowded “Services” page can't rank for ten different searches. Ten focused pages can.
-
Structure before copy
Headings, URLs and page titles are planned before anything is written, not patched on afterwards.
-
Fast on the Tube
Built to load quickly on a phone with one bar of signal, because that's where many of your visitors will be.
-
A clear next step
Call, book, WhatsApp or enquire: whichever your customers actually use, placed where they look for it.
-
Details machines can read
Structured data tells Google and AI assistants your services, hours and location, so they don't have to guess.
-
Easy for you to update
Change text, photos and prices yourself without touching anything that affects your rankings.
How a build runs
-
Research
Keywords, competitors, and your current site if you have one, including which old pages still bring in visitors.
-
Site plan
We agree which pages exist and what each one is for, before any design work starts.
-
Design and build
You review each stage before we move on to the next.
-
Launch checks
Redirects from old addresses, Search Console, analytics, conversion tracking and page speed.
-
The first weeks after launch
We watch indexing, rankings and enquiries, and fix what the data shows.
Already have a website?
You may not need a new one. Sometimes a rebuild is the right call, often it isn't. Our free home page SEO & GEO audit will tell you which, and if the foundations are fine, we'll say so and point you to the fixes instead.
FAQs
Which platform do you build on?
Wix Studio, Shopify or Squarespace, depending on what your business needs. Wix Studio runs our own website and One Spa London's. Shopify is the natural choice if you sell products online. Squarespace suits smaller, design-led sites you want to manage yourself. We recommend one in the proposal and explain why.
Can I edit the website myself afterwards?
Yes. You can change text, photos and prices yourself, and we'll show you which settings to leave alone.
Will I lose my current Google rankings?
Not if the move is planned properly. Before launch we map every old page that gets traffic to its new address, including moves between platforms such as WordPress to Wix or Squarespace to Shopify.
How much does a website cost?
Every project is quoted individually, based on the number of pages, the content you need and your goals. You get a written proposal with the scope and fee before any work starts.
